One of the truths of programming is that sometimes you’re not 100% sure of what direction you need to go in to solve the problem.

Test Driven Development is a useful tool and can really help you take steps in the right direction but at some point you need to write the golden formula.

Unfortunately for me, today I couldn’t write it. I think my problem with writing the formula stems from me not being 100% sure about what I’m actually trying to achieve.

I wrote a blog post about “unproductive” days and why it’s important not to harbour negative feelings when you haven’t achieved as much as you’d like but have still invested time in the task.

So today, I’m not going to do that.

Instead, I’ll take a break… and attempt the whole problem again, let’s hope this time it’s second time lucky!
