CSR = Company Development

Why should businesses give back to the community?
Ok, I’m sure that there are no people here who would not think that help to those who in need or to help in reconciling the environment is a good thing!
I am undoubted that each of you at least once in your life did this and felt a pleasant bliss and pride in helping people and not receiving anything in return.
However, someone can say, I do not think that huge corporations like Kindred Group, who supported mentally and physically challenged people participation in sport, or Paddy Power who established Cash4Clubs program that supports local sports clubs and many other…. does it unselfishly and only to help those who in need or to feel pleasant bliss from a good deed.
Fortunately, no, otherwise the world would have lost a lot.
Charitable acts are performed without the expectation of direct financial gain, but they certainly are not without their rewards.
So, what is the company benefits?
First of all, Giving Back is Good Publicity.
When your business is doing something valuable to the community — whether that involves donating money or your time as volunteers — it becomes a good news story! So any local media is going to be interested in.
As a good example, a small tire franchise from the USA received national coverage on Forbes.com because they were regular participants in a local annual “Coats for Kids” community event.
Your Employees Will Appreciate It.
It feels good to work for a company that cares and gives you a chance to be a part of something good.
In my opinion, common social responsibility pretends to be the best way for a team-building!
By involving employees and encouraging them to give back to the community, you provide an opportunity for them to work toward a common goal that’s outside the ordinary daily commercial pursuits, and you give them a chance to make a difference in the community that they may not have been able to accomplish on their own.
Your Customers would like It Too.
For sure customers appreciate it too, and locals may even make their decisions (choice) based on how involved your company is in the community.
But the primary goal is always the same — to build respect and a good reputation in the community both locally and worldwide. Which will then influence all crucial aspects of your business, such as customers, employees, government, society, partners, investors.
