Thanks for your thoughtful insight on this. Yeah, I’m one of the privileged 40-something white ladies, but fortunately, I’ve been exposed to a lot of conversations about this topic, even living in middle America. The way that you explain it here — coming from a place of “normal” or “not normal” — is a clear insight, I think, for those of us who are used to being thought of as “normal.” I will definitely be sharing and I look forward to reading more of your words in the future.
