I definitely hear you Carter. I know Santa Cruz is also feeling the pain of spiraling housing costs. It’s happening because the Peninsula isn’t building their fair share of housing and unfortunately communities that aren’t enjoying the tech boom are forced to bear the brunt of those policies. I’ve been working hard in Palo Alto to get them to take responsibility and do their part to deal with the housing shortage but unfortunately that has landed on deaf ears. The sad fact is that because the entire area has a housing shortage, there’s basically no way that someone can move to less expensive area without causing displacement there, too.
