Week 10 — Global Surveillance

Global surveillance, it is about the eye from the machines that are around us, the world and globally. It is everywhere and that we have nowhere can hide away from these eyes. It brings benefits to us but also causes harms to us. It is not only related locally, but also related to the politics and military globally.

The invention of the machine eyes help the public to behave properly. It is like if someone looks at your behaviour the whole day, you will behave properly. This kind of feeling is just like a female and a male just started their relationship become boyfriend and girlfriend. The girlfriend will act very ladylike and try to show the best of herself to her boyfriend. I don’t think someone will do some disgusting things in front of your new boyfriend or girlfriend.

Okay. Back to the topic! Surveillance is becoming a global phenomenon is because this eyes of the machines is everywhere. When everyone have this eye of the machines and connected digitally, hackers can easily hack those eyes of the machines (e.g. cameras) and monitor the every moments that you did around the camera. No matter is for security reasons or crimes. You think that is it? No! Hackers can hack the camera at home or even from other countries. They can just sit back and monitor everything you do very easily. In some countries, the government use this kind of techniques to monitor their people’s actions and speeches. The eyes of the machines can be very horrible and dangerous to the users and this kind of issues are getting more and more serious around the world.
