Tascosa High School & Confederate Icons
Michael R. Walker

Thanks for your thoughtful column on racism and symbols. I am a ’76 grad of Tascosa High School, so I was there through most of the time when African American students were being bused to the school and the symbols were being changed. While we are having robust conversations here in the Austin area, those conversations need to begin in Amarillo. I hope your post sparks the beginning of thoughtful discussions.
