Look up Richard Smith’s ‘Green capitalism: The God That Failed’. Capitalism’s flaws have been known and documented since it came into use. Any mention of capitalism’s flaws has been well suppressed, most effectively in the United States. Thomas Piketty’s book, Capital, caused the most recent flare-up of criticism. I used to think that Green capitalism would work, but now I realize that any human economy that is based on resources being controlled by a small number corporate boards and wealthy shareholders who operate on the principle of profit maximization can never be sustainable or just or solve the problems that we face.
