The capacity to clone facial expressions in the service of helping those who have difficulty reading faces is a real advancement. It will allow us to take Paul Ekman’s work on facial expressions and turbo-charge it.

Enabling a husband with Asperger’s to memories the facial expressions of different ethnic groups and genders…that’s wonderful. However being able to paste his wife’s expressions onto those training video, and learn to read her expressions accurately…whoa, that’s a big bump up on improving marital communication…
