My family has brought me tremendous joy. In fact we still live as a multi-generational family. But I've seen far too many selfish parents who have kids basically as an accessory to complete their look. They expect certain things from those children and are unhappy when the child doesn't do exactly as they say. So I'm starting to think that people have children as a biological urge and then don't enjoy raising them. Of course, many of us do find joy in our families, but far too many do not.
