so glad to see you writing more on Medium, and thanks for your feedback! posts in your feed include not only ones that people and publications you follow publish, but also posts that people you follow recommend. at the top of each post in your home stream, there should be a small gray text string that says “Recommended by Beyoncé” if you follow Beyoncé.

hopefully that helps clarify some of the current rules of the system. we’re also working on improvements to the feed. out of curiosity—what would a better experience be for you? less “magical” recommendations? it sounded like you were expecting posts only from the 399 people/pubs you follow on medium?
