All true. I also grew up in a fairly conservative place (Oregon) though my parents are conservative. But I’ve been blessed that I have fairly logical, compassionate conservative parents instead of the kind we find in the alt-right.

I honestly don’t know if they voted at all. I’m not really sure what I’m trying to say, other than being aware that there are others in the world who are experiencing things differently than you is something so many people forget (unfortunately especially white feminists). But it really doesn’t seem like it should be such a hard concept.
