I Stopped Eating Meat and This Is What Happened

How switching to a plant-based diet transformed my life

In August of 2017 I stopped eating meat and animal by-products after watching the documentary “What The Health”.

I want to be clear that I do not label myself as a vegan and I did not initially do this as part of a moral value. I did this for myself and because of my health.

  1. Death by Dairy

I first started by cutting out all dairy and eggs beginning in June of 2017. Eggs always caused me severe stomach and digestive issues and I never really enjoyed them all that much so, what was the big deal with saying “Smell ya later?” I’ll tell you, the big deal was that almost all of my digestive issues resolved, embarrassing acne and flaky dry patches on my skin cleared and haven’t come back, and I began to feel more energized.The most rewarding benefit truly was my dissipating acne. I was spending a decent amount of money monthly on prescription acne medication, increased copays for “specialist” appointments to visit my dermatologist, and there was never any change in my skin. I truly don’t think my skin has ever been so clear and so bright. I can confidently say that I’ve never felt more confident with my skin and it saves me money.

Not once did my dermatologist…
