Sometimes Good Things End So Better Things Can Begin.

I want to hug him and squeeze him and love him forever.

“Grandchildren are the reward God gives you for letting your children live.” ~ My Hubby

This past Sunday, my husband and I became grandparents again…. for the 7th time, and my heart is overflowing with love, as my arms are aching to hold him.

One of the hardest things I have done in my role of ‘Mom’ is let my kids go. We became empty-nesters several years ago, and it took a good six months to get my bearings.

I didn’t know who I was after the four of them grew up and left home. I had been a mom for twenty-plus years, and I never wanted it to end.

But sometimes good things end so better things can begin.

I had the honor of being a first-time grandma 17 years ago and the years have been kind with the addition of 6 more grand-kids.

The best part is, I am pretty sure we will have a few more in our future as our younger two kids haven’t started their families yet.

Until then, I can’t wait to snuggle this little one in a couple of weeks.
