LinkedIn Doesn’t Want You To Send Personalized Invitations

Saw this post on LinkedIn. (PS My feed’s still pretty weak, since not even the great growth marketers I know seem to publish/post much.)

Thing is, LinkedIn’s product team doesn’t care if you send personalized messages. Your invitations will still all look like this, highlighting only recency, someone’s appearance, their job title, and their amount of network overlap with you:

And the emails that accompany your invitations will still look like this — again, emphasizing only recency and their name.

So maybe scold LinkedIn’s team into putting that message somewhere my future connections might see it, then I’ll be with you in spending time composing it!
