Film Fanatic: The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies

Happy Saturday! I don’t usually write blog posts on the weekend, however I watched The Hobbit last night so I had to talk about it! The Battle Of Five Armies was the final film in The Hobbit trilogy and it also marked the end of the Middle Earth films. So it was quite bittersweet, I was so excited going into the film because I’ve been looking forward to for ages, so it was so good to finally go and see it but at the same time, it’s sad that’s no more films to look forward to! I don’t think this is going to be much of a review, instead just my first impressions/thoughts etc. Overall, I loved it, I love really love seeing films on the first day they come out because it’s always more exciting, especially with films like The Hobbit, we saw a guy in front of us who dressed as Frodo so that was fun ☺ It was weird for me because I haven’t had a cinema experience like this since the final Harry Potter film came out! The film itself didn’t feel that long to me at all, compared to the previous two, maybe I just didn’t want it to end! It was a great ending to an awesome trilogy, all around me in the cinema I could hear people sniffling and crying, when the trailers ended and the cinema went black before the film, you could a hear a few people woo’ing and one person went “we’re going on an adventure!” It was a really fun experience, Peter Jackson did an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what he does next! Oh also, definitely stick around for the end credits, Billy Boyd’s song at the end is really good too! ☺
