I keep wondering why are we getting so lonely and lost as society grows in number and complexity. It looks like life has taken up too much speed and we are unable to properly cope with it. I have a feeling that addictions and the rising number of mental health problems are signals that something must be changed in the way we lead our lives, in the way we see what is worth and what’s not worth to work and fight for.

I appreciate the independence and personal space given by modern life; yet, in times of vulnerability, there’s almost no one around to lean on for enough time to be able to get back on track. Everyone is busy, everyone has a life of its own. The more we grow in number, the lonelier we seem to become.

And when addiction hits in…..the void around is expanding at higher speed.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
