As I embark on this new blogging journey, I started thinking of the best pieces of writing advice I have learned from academic writing, work, and a previous blog. The list isn’t extensive but it’s got the basics.

01: Consistency First
Consistency looks different all around. For you and for me it can mean different things. It changes as we move from phase to phase. At the beginning of a writing journey, consistency can be a simple of 300 words every weekday. Maybe it is a 25-minute session three times a week. Whatever consistency looks for you, there are benefits to deciding on it and sticking to it. Even when the words are hard to come by.
