Pauli, this is an excellent and much needed perspective! As the lead designer of a learning app, I am going through all the pains of understanding the basic ideas of an interaction, evaluating feasibility, working out the aesthetics, making keyframes as pages/states in Fireworks, trying hard not to “customize” every ui element or interaction (in other words not trying to reinvent the wheel) and then handing over everything to that programmer….

Click-through prototypes (static or with transitions) or animating micro-interactions aren’t enough. Just like you I too do not want to learn to code.

Thanks for the link you had provided. I had already downloaded the free version of the program. Hope this helps in reducing the endless cycles of discussions and reviews with the programming team.
