From Fat to Fit: Day 2

January 9 2015

I was really pissed this morning since I was initially planning on waking up at 6am to get an early start on the day. However, I slept through my alarm and woke up at 10am. Since I hate not showering before 12am, my day was pretty much ruined.

Fortunately, I soldiered on and spent the morning browsing online stores and adding stuff to my wishlist to cheer myself up (lol). After a lunch of 4 strips of homemade chicken fingers, I took a shower and I finally got up to work out at 5pm when my hair had dried enough for me to put it up in a ponytail.

I opted to go for a brisk walk at a pace of not exceeding 4.8 on the treadmill instead of jogging. I did this for 30.15 minutes, finishing 2.55km and burning 97 calories. I listened to Episode 4: The Captors of the Serial podcast while on the treadmill.

As for my Zova workouts, I did the Lean & Toned Stomach workout for 8 minutes, which burned 58kcals, as well as the Barre Arms workout for 10 minutes, which burned 56kcals.

Dinner was 2 strips of leftover chicken fingers from lunch, a handful of salted mixed nuts, and Salmon Head Sinigang. Sinigang is a traditional Filipino dish with tamarind, water spinach, and string beans.

I spent the rest of the night reading The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood.

So overall, day 2 was much better than day 1.
