If You Want to Be Creative, Don’t Be Data Driven
Bill Pardi

Hi Bill, interesting article! It made more sense when I read your tagline that you’re a data scientist. I’m sure you spend your days trying to explain to people that there’s a story behind the numbers you share, and to not take them just at face value while making complex decisions. I work in innovation- the sole business person in a sea of creatives in our broader product design department, and I’m praying that none of them read your article, lol! Getting creatives to think about including data, KPIs, and assigning success metrics to their work is an evolving effort. I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle. Design thinking, lean startup and traditional product development are all a blend of the right and left brain, of creativity of what’s possible and reality based data. Thank you for sharing your perspective!… Now if you could just pass some of those data science skills this way…
