The concept of an anthology creates numerous possibilities for the authors participating.

Being part of an anthology allows authors to reach new readers from the other author's reader base.

Some of the things to consider when joining an anthology are:

  • The genre of the anthology
  • The timeline for the project
  • Your role other than providing a story

When you join an anthology, for the anthology to do well, every author needs to do their share of marketing.

What roles are there for those participating in an anthology?

Making sure that you establish the roles of each author participating in the anthology is important.

Here are the roles you will want to fill:

Cover art: Someone should create the cover and then show it to the group for discussion.

Book description: Have someone write the book description and allow the group to read over it, edit, and make suggestions.
