NBCUniversal has a large portfolio with a variety of media content. MSNBC, NBC News, Meet The Press, This Is Us, Brooklyn 99, Universal Studios, Telemundo, The Olympics, Today show, E! News all fall under NBCUniversal, making it the premiere source for all kinds of entertainment.With the ability to reach so many different sectors, NBCU has built an influence like no other in the media industry. Reaching all ages through its movies, tv shows, theme parks, and social media partnerships, it is imperative that the company uphold its ethical standards across all platforms.

Ethical Code of Conduct

  1. Non-offensive content: NBCUniversal has a lot of funny content, but we know that we cannot cross the line of funny and disrespectful. That is why we will write every joke with a good conscious in mind and remind our teams to always be mindful of differences of opinions.
  2. No fake news: With all of our news channels, like NBC and MSNBC, NBCUniversal will always deliver factual, non-biased news. It is easy to lose grasp of the real facts in the midst of breaking news, but we will prioritize correct information over sensational news or beating our competitors in breaking news. Furthermore, we promise to not offer biased news stories. Instead, we will respect the public and the marketplace of ideas by staying as objective as possible at all times.
  3. Family values: We love bringing people together through our entertainment. We promise to strive to always deliver content that is appropriate for all members of the family, therefore strengthening the relationships of our viewers.
