Thank you for sharing that. I also reconnected with some of my friends at a funeral recently. It is sad that we may only see each other again at funerals — it doesn’t seem right. These are some of the only people in the world who know the person I was as a child. There was something unreal about being with them — it felt like I was looking in an old mirror.

I definitely agree we can never get those days back or capture that same feeling. I do have a sense of regret that I didn’t really savor and enjoy it in the moment. It has taught me to be more appreciative of the moments and feelings I have now.
