STU48 is a Japanese female idol group based in Setouchi district of western Japan and it was established in 2017, produced by well known producer Akimoto Yasushi. It is a family member of the higher hierarchy idol group known as AKB48. STU48 consists of around 30 members and most of them are hiher teens.
The video was shot by HEXaMedia, an aerial photography corporation in Japan. Its well know drone pilots, including CEO Noguchi and his partner Mr. Endo, definitely hold the best in the breed drone operating skills and technologies. YouTube video above contains making stories and interviews.
This video accordingly was shot with DJI’s Inspire2. It is a one-shot shooting without editing with only the drone camera, recording how the members rushed up the historical stairs of Onomichi and peformed contemporary dance. Members of shooting team says “Although the team planned taking through one song without breaking the cut, it was very difficult in the entire sequence, camera work and focus, control and image radio waves etc etc.” Team members also confess “Honesty, There was also a moment when I was almost give up as it is not being able to do.”
Onomichi is located in Setouchi district. It is regarded as one of the most historical and beautiful town in western Japan. The whole town was sandwiched by the ocean and the mountains, thus there are many of steep slopes and stairs in the town. Because Setouchi district was severely damaged by the disaster caused by heavy rain in July 2018, the video is also meant to be a support for reconstruction of the district. This achievement absolutely is something more than the history of drone filming to the people in this historical town.
