Capture the moment.

Capturing a once-in-a-lifetime photo can be quite challenging, especially with moving targets like these clouds. One must be in the right place at the right time, and then: Click. Click. Click. Captured! Similarly, our daily lives are full of those one-of-a-kind or once-in-a-lifetime moments, but we don’t always capture them the same way we might capture a photo. But shouldn’t we? Even though we might capture a moment in our minds, does that moment become a memory that we embrace and revisit or is it fleeting and elusive? Certainly, some of the most precious moments and memories can leave lasting impressions without ever speaking a word.

The backstory of this photo is part of a lasting impression, and it was the icing on the cake to the memories we made during the earlier part of that day. Taken aback by the breathtaking beauty of this and other photos taken by my husband, we decided to combine his love of photography with my love of scripture to enhance the memory. Still, today, we can look at those photos and remember the events of that day.

Life is too short to miss the special things in life. We must be on the lookout for those special moments shared with special people and embrace and cherish them. Take time to capture the moment.
