Thanks for replying. Yes, I have to agree with you that people serve more does not mean the more blessed they are and more blessings come. It is probably about the level of devotion in this sense. “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Yes, I agree that condition of the heart is important but I also think the level of devotion is important as well. I strongly believe that condition of the heart is motivated by the level of devotion. Otherwise, we all probably going to be lukewarms spiritually as human hearts are weak. I don’t mean that the level of devotion should be motivated by feelings and emotions but should be motivated by the truth according to God’s word and in Jesus Christ. Then the truth in Christ should improve the condition of the heart.

Overall, I think spiritual growth is:

The level of devotion → The truth according to God’s word and in Christ → The condition of the heart.
