I just read your piece and thought it was beautiful. When I saw the title I almost didn’t read it because I thought it was truly about getting a stain out of carpet. Maybe this is why you haven’t had the response you were hoping for? Personally I got a lot out of it and think others would too! Maybe change the title? Just my humble thoughts.
