It’s over nine feet tall. It weighs over a ton. And it sits, quite literally, on the Seaham Seafront Building in County Durham. It is called 1011 and it is about PTSD, so says its creator Ray Lonsdale. Locals were put off by it and decided to limit it’s display to just three months. Later it’s popularity grew and the town has decided it will be a permanent display and “Tommy”, as locals call him are delighted. Ray Lonsdale has refused offers to move him.
