I too had creativity squashed by a parent. If you haven’t read it, I highly suggest Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. You’re already doing better than me, putting your soul on showcase in a public forum, but I’m getting there! Have you revisited the violin? Maybe it will come just as easy now as it did then? Keep creating — I believe that’s the point of this thing we call life. :-)
