If it’s truly “anyone but the Republican” every single time, what’s the purpose of a nomination? Why even listen to the debates or read the platforms, or, indeed, pay attention to politics at all? If this hypnosis of fear is going to settle over every Democrat every four years we’ll just keep slipping towards fascism and oligarchy.
