There seems to be a lot of misconceptions when it comes to being cheap vs. being frugal, and there’s a fine line between the two.

Take, for example, this phrase:

You could be thinking, “10% off?! I could find a better deal elsewhere …” or “Wow! This is a good quality pair of pants, I’ll go ahead and buy them because it’s worth it”.

It all depends on your money mindset and situation. But do you know if you’re cheap or frugal?

The age of simple living and leading a minimalist lifestyle has left me confused with more questions than answers.

Let’s face it.

We spend way too much time on our mobile devices and staring at a screen.

On average, adults spend around 11 hours a day in front of a screen. Whether it’s a computer, phone, tablet, or TV — that’s a lot of screen time.

How did we arrive at 11 hours? Most of us might work remotely and spend 8 hours a day in front of our computers. On top of that, according to eMarketer, the average adult spends about 3.5 hours on their mobile devices.

Voilà.

Working out regularly is hard.

There are days when you might feel exhausted and won’t even be bothered to hit the gym.

We live stressful lives.

Re-wearing clothes, I get it. It’s only slightly dirty.

Re-wearing workout clothes, on the other hand, is a whole different story.

Sweat, germs and bacteria builds up. However, washing your favourite workout clothes after every use isn’t practical either. This is especially true if you love to workout daily or you’re a super sweat monster (don’t worry — I am too!).
