Have you ever tried to pursue something and were immediately intimidated by the sheer amount of information available for it? Sometimes, taking on a new hobby or interest can make you feel as if you were Sisyphus, who was forced to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity without ever reaching the top.

This is exactly how I felt back in 2016–2017 when I was exploring career paths to pursue in college. One day, I stumbled across programming. Having had a childhood filled with computers and gaming consoles, this career path immediately peaked my interest. However, within a few short hours of diving deeper into the world of programming, I was quickly discouraged not only by the vast amount of languages, but also by the fact that these languages did look like a different language to me. Therefore, I chose a career path that aligned with my interests in mathematics and engineering.

Now, almost 6 years later, a spark has reignited the fire that is my interest in programming. Although I have taken a semester-long course during college that taught me how to apply Python in my field of work, I still consider myself a novice among experts.

Therefore, I am committing myself to learning Python.

Furthermore, I am going to be writing a daily blog reflecting on the previous day in order to detail my journey…
