CONNECTION AND DISCONNECTION:
In this contemporary digital era connecting to the internet has become a part of human daily routine. Yes! of course to survive and compete in this competitive world, yes we need and we should connect to the internet in versatile ways or we will be disconnected from the rest of the world. Nonetheless edict to technology, being in online 24/7 and running for technical knowledge has its defects like effecting family relations, health, and hobbies. (Freddie deBoer, 2014,Aug 19).
So we are in web 2.0 gen and without connecting and sharing the globalization would not be possible and the media ecologies would not be enhanced. Of course, I use cyberspace for different purposes like telework, communication, transportation, and infotainment with the help of different apps and websites like WhatsApp, Facebook, Ptv, Kindle, Slides, and Chrome. With the help of this communication infrastructures mankind is having a bundle of benefits and in the same way world is becoming a global village. (Oct 24, 2017)
The message is clear: you can take your break, but there is no escape. (Miller cites Nathan Jurgensen). But I want to say that we should have a control over the web. Nowadays technology is being used in wrong ways and it has gone to such a level, where it is being uncontrollable. Technology should not control us in such a way that it takes over us, which is happening at present. After the arrival of web most of the people are losing their real-life experiences and just living in virtual experiences. Using buzzwords like digital detox, disconnection, and unplugging to address profound concerns over who is still human, who is having true experiences, what is even “real” at all. ( NATHAN JURGENSON, NOVEMBER 13, 2013). Anything which is excess would be dangerous at a point, similarly over usage of internet brings a person to digital detox stage. Finally, a person who is slave to internet should be treated by a psychologist. ( NATHAN JURGENSON, NOVEMBER 13, 2013).
The internet is fun and useful but not nearly as moving or important as real life, (Freddie deBoer, 2014,Aug 19).so after seeing the both sides of the coin I can say that we should use the internet for development but it should not convert us into zombies and play with us and disturb the way of our life.
