There are far too many things to consider while having a baby for the very first time. Especially as they really don’t have any experience to fall back on. One of those things that parents really need to consider is the kind of bib that they use for their babies. There are far too many different types of baby bibs available in the market — each one with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. As a parent, you might think that bibs can be thought of at the last moment. However, there is way too much to consider regarding them.

  1. The Bandana Bibs

Bandana bibs, as their name suggests, are modeled after the bandana — a folded handkerchief in the shape of a triangle. This bib is tied around the baby’s neck to act as a bib but also for the sake of being a fashion statement.

Advantages:

  1. They are great for infants and babies that are teething or dribbling a lot. Mainly because they look like a piece of clothing and part of the whole ensemble.
  2. They also sit very high on the neck, thus absorbing way more dribble than any other type of bibs on the market.
  3. Especially as they are tied away so high on the neck, making it tight — kids cannot just pull them out as they please. They are secured quite well.

2. The Scoop Bibs

With a trough-like bottom that is made to gather the food that trickles down one’s neck, these scoop bibs are made of plastic. These kinds of napkins are solely used when the baby is being fed — solids and liquids. They are to be only used during feeding time. They are not really comfortable with any baby’s skin, and they are also yanked hard from the neck with force by babies.

Advantages

  1. As they are made from plastic, they are fairly easy to clean. They could just be wiped wet after every meal. This takes away the whole washing step from the process of cleaning.
  2. These are the significant reasons the babies learn to feed themselves, and it goes the baby a sense of independence as parents let the baby experiment with food as long as the scoop bibs are on.

These are the two major types of bibs that parents can use on their babies, especially for the baby boys bibs — scoop ones come in super handy during the feeding stage. They not only are efficient baby drool bobs but also act as really cool looking baby bandana bibs with a stylish edge to them.
