One of the ways you could build up a set of “necessary” laws is that people have to opt into a database, i.e. gain “citizenship” and be issued some sort of token that denotes it. You could correspondingly create contracts that necessitate the existence of that token. What follows is you could build up nations of laws that are not inherently taxonomic. For instance, since I live in Denver, CO, USA, I have to follow US law, Colorado law, and Denver law. I’m not sure how many other countries have federated systems of government like this, but what follows is I could opt into as many legal systems as I want provided that they don’t have any sort of mutual exclusion “clauses”. This means that government could finally be competitive which has the potential to make it substantially better than it is today.
