The older I get, the less I am willing to spend time with people who take your time and energy and compassion but give nothing back. I have chosen not to see them or, as you have so wisely suggested, limited my interactions with them.

I also understand that many emotional vampires come from places of lack and need, even if they don't see it themselves. So I bless them, I love them (as fellow human beings) and I Let Them Go!
