Kid With Tripod

I wonder what was that kid shooting on the handball court in the park. As I entered the park I saw him mad intense with his tripod facing the wall. By the way this is not the Olympics handball. This is a different game played in every neighborhood of NYC in every park where people play.

He looked young, a blond kid capturing whatever he saw in the camera lens. Maybe he was working on an art project. Could be today was the day his photos found the spark he’d been shooting for, from mundane to visionary. From a park in Brooklyn to the top of the world.

I watched him leave with the Tripod as a talisman. It felt like a good omen. Positive reinforcement. Earlier I had conversed with my friend about my need to really start crushing it. Stop procrastinating, get motivated, be inspired to create with all the passion I can muster. Now seeing that kid shooting in the hood with his lens as trigger was inspiration enough. You feed on inspiration wherever you find it. You bathe in it. Let it infect you.
