How To Get Facebook Likes. Part 3 (final)

We’re almost done with our 8 easy ways to help get more likes on Facebook.

Number 5 is probably the most important out of all 8..Well why make it number 5 then? why not #1? Probably because I like number 5..and well yeah that’s all I got.

5) Publish Engaging Content
Content is still king, there’s no questioning that. It’s plain and simple: there’s no way you’ll get any likes on your Page or your posts if your content isn’t engaging, entertaining and interesting.

Some basics when it comes to publishing engaging content that gets more likes:

Post on a regular basis: no one will ever like your brand if you go silent for weeks on end and then come back full force and start posting like a crazy person (or company as it may be). They also won’t interact with you if you post 7 times a day. Moderation is key here folks.

Add value: if your content is not bringing your followers value, then they’ll never engage with it. Take the time to really get to know your buyer personas and your audience on Facebook. Once you have a handle on who they are, spend ample time researching and starting to understand the content that appeals to them most. Through research you can learn what is being said around your subject and what isn’t said so you’re able to not only add value but position yourself as a thought leader.

Images: These are the best types of posts for driving engagement. Just as your content should be valuable to your followers, so should your images. Be sure to publish images your followers can relate to and will like. Also, make sure to include your logo or something that references your brand, if your photo gets shared on by your followers, you want people to still have that visual reference of who created it.
Include a call-to-action: By including a CTA in some of your posts, you’re able to very nicely ask followers to like, comment or share your content. Don’t be pushy and don’t do it every single time. Sprinkling them in here or there will help you boost engagement.

Videos: Rather than solely posting links to videos, upload them to your Page. If you do this, Facebook embeds a “Like” button in the upper left hand corner of the video. This will then show to anyone viewing your video who has NOT liked your Page yet. (These videos need to be brand-original content; you can’t upload someone else’s video.)
When people share your content, your Page name travels with it. Therefore, if your followers are commenting and sharing your content, it will show in their followers’ New Feeds, increasing reach and visibility. Ultimately, helping you gain more new followers.

6) Be Active
Don’t setup a Business Page for your company just because it sounds like a good idea and you’ve been told you need one. Those aren’t the reasons you should be on Facebook. You should be on Facebook because you want to engage with your current audience and customers and continue cultivating a relationship with them.

To get more likes, you should be posting at least one per day. If you can’t …just make the times you can post count. Don’t always post at the same time everyday, as well. Firstly, you’ll never expand your audience because you’re only coming alive at one time during the day. Secondly, it’s always beneficial to experiment with the timing of your posts to see when the majority of your followers are active online. This way you can catch them at the optimal moment to engage with your content.

Another way to tailor your activity on Facebook is to use Insights to find when your followers are the most active.
