Why I Am Quitting Chemo
Mark Mooney

I’m sorry for your predicament as refractory metastatic cancer is difficult to deal with and persistent prostate cancer metastatic to bone after all the therapuetic modalities you’ve endured is really not fair to you. I’m disappointed in all the posts here by lay people offering alternative therapy options with little or no chance of impacting your disease and suspect you’ve either tried or considered some of these options already and dismissed them as I would. As an internist for 35 years, I treated numerous patients in difficult situations such as yours. I applaud you for choosing quality of life over quantity of life as that appears to be the right decision for you at this time. Please enjoy your remaining time with friends and family, knock a few items off your bucket list, and cherish the days and months ahead.
