We’re leveraging our 6 year old agency to build a bootstrapped startup, have broken even and are making a little profit from MRR now. We’ve been at it for about 6 months, but we’re the ones people are talking hypotheticals…
Unless developers realise this, they will continue to be exploited by people who don’t follow the ethical norms of the developer community. And so far, there is nothing to suggest that they will stop getting away with it.
I think that this, actually, was the entire point.
A distinction has to be made between coding (which can be viewed and taught like a trade) and the broader computer science profession which is less hands on and more heavy on the theory.
