On Alcohol: A Letter to My Hopefully Future Kids

The episodes you describe are an alcoholics admissions in a meeting, rehab, or therapy session. Binge drinking is alcoholism. Just because you take a wine appreciation class does not mean that you won’t consume too much wine. I encourage you to consider an AA meeting to speak and/or hear for yourself an admitted alcoholics confession. These behaviors never get fewer and far between. They only get worse.

I haven’t touched a drop of alcohol in nine years my friend. My life, finances, relationships and career have never been better. Through three rehabs and two detox centers I have finally come to the realization that I have a disease. An allergy of the mind as they say. And I just don’t drink alcohol. It’s much better this way for me.

I am now able to go out and have fun with others who drink. I am reminded every time why I can no longer consume alcohol. I am in control of everything in my life and it feels better than any drunk day I have ever experienced.

There are many people out here doing the same thing. I encourage you to find them and/or seek out AA.
