Why Write When You Don’t Have To?

Roblin,
Hi-it’s Keith Lo here, a former student of your Harvard Expos class. Keep your head up and continue your pursuit of writing. For years, I regretted not pursuing a doctorate in economics. After a long, winding journey, I am finally back in education at a small for-profit firm. At some point, I’d like to continue doing academic research.
Most of us end up feeling regretful at times. Taken properly, this can actually be a powerful way to motivate us to try even harder to reach our goals. I know how much you love academic writing. You taught us the value of thinking critically during our writing class. I will always cherish the time we spent together thinking about hard questions.
My best wishes go out to you!
