And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. - Ephesians 4:32

Swans are one of Gods beautiful creations. They peacefully glide across the water and are beloved by children and are depicted in many stories and movies. They also represent as a symbol of love or romance. They are very elegant creatures and are very loyal to their own and mate for life. They rarely get angry unless provoked or threatened. Another key fact is they have a great memory as they can remember who has treated them bad from their past. Which ties into today's scripture as we are commanded to kind to each other showing the love of Christ. But unlike a swan, we must be willing to forget when others have wronged us and forgive them. As I shared yesterday this is not always easy but it's not merely a choice but a command from God. Sure we can choose to not forgive, but God says if we don't forgive others we will not be forgiven ourselves. So in reality, this is a no-brainer in the bigger picture. I hope we all can find the strength in God alone to overcome those thongs done to us as well as when we do them to others.
