And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. - Malachi 3:3

There are times in life when God allows us to go thru trials and if we are honest it's not easy to go thru them but we must remember that God is working on us to help develop our character so we can become the best versions of our selves for his glory and purpose. This process is much like refining silver or gold. The metal is first unformed and raw but as it gets heated it breaks down and has to be worked and purified and refined until it becomes pure and then it can be molded or fashioned to its completed form. As we become more familiar with his word we will be able to better recognize this refining is from God and not mistake it as an attack from the enemy. God does not always make his will known while we are going thru this process but we can be encouraged that he has not forsaken us nor will he leave us. Usually later on we can see what he was doing during that time of refinement and it begins to make sense. So let us help each other with love and support as we go thru these experiences so that like the Keith Green song says" our trials will turn to gold" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
