Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. - 1 John 4:11

The true nature of God is love.Everything he does is because of love. So many see him as an angry judge with a giant hammer waiting to smash them over the head when they do something wrong.God is sovereign in all he does so even when he has to discipline it still comes from a place of love. Those of you who are parents know exactly how that feels and yet you know in the long run its in their best intrest. Everyone desires more than anything to be loved and will go to great lengths to get it. Unfortunately because of our sin we seek earthly love in stead of agape love which is the perfect love God intended for us to have and enjoy from the begining. In order to possess this perfect love there is a price to pay and although it’s free it will cost you everything. Our very nature must be transformed just like how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. It takes time and sometimes it can be painful but in the end it’s worth the toil. Jesus is and will always be the living example of the kind of love we are to become. We can not choose who we love as we must love all whom God created in his image. I wish I could say I have reached that place of complete love for all at this point.God is faithful as long as we are willing to continue to be transformed and one day when we see him face to face we will truly understamd and experience this amazing selfless love first hand.
