For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. - Galatians 6:8

Growing up I heard the term you reap what you sow. Now many years later I can see how that principle is being fulfilled all around me including my own life.

Some would define it as causality but I see it as a spiritual law that does not require a personal belief in God, even though I believe he set it up as to avoid chaos and confusion.

We all must take responsibilities for our actions good or bad. But when we apply this principle to the life of a follower of Christ it goes to a much deeper level than before.

Because of our sinful nature, we can easily choose to be ignorant of this fact and carelessly continue to self inflict harm.

The good news is God has given us the Holy Spirit to act on our behalf as a guide and mentor. Warning us of possible dangers and consequences that could make it difficult for us.

To take advantage of this offer sent from God we must be willing to relinquish control so the Spirit of God can do his job leading us to the paths of the straight and narrow that lead to everlasting life.

Jesus said the comforter would come after he departed and baptize willing believers with wisdom and holy fire.

The seeds we plant blindly today will one day grow and be harvested and administered to us regardless if we like it or not.

So let us use the wisdom of God given by the Holy Spirit to reap a harvest that not only blesses but also brings great glory and honor to our heavenly father.
