For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. - Psalm 84:11

In Psalm 84 David calls on God and pleads for his protection and mercy. In doing so he was reminded of the many promises that were declared to those who place their trust and hope in him. Prayer is such an important part our walk with him. It gives us the opportunity to bring our cares and concerns to him. And in doing so he can direct our words and thoughts to where they need to be in that moment. Doing this brings great joy to our heavenly father who delights in our needs according to his promises. But like many things, it only works when we put it into practice. As I even learned this example last night that when things seem unclear, find a quiet place and pray and ask our heavenly father for help and direction.And in his perfect timing he will give you what you need to endure or overcome.
