I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. - Psalm 34:4

faith·ful
loyal, constant, and steadfast.

I am by no means a fan of dogs as pets. But there is no pet more loyal They have such unconditional love and devotion for their owners. They have such an ability to change the mood of any given situation good or bad. They are very protective and are willing to put themselves in harm's way to keep you safe. They adore children and the elderly without fail. They are constant and can't wait till its time to play or go for a run or are simply content to snuggle next to you. Their behavior is consistent and rarely do they act out of character unless they are in pain or have been abused. There are many true stories of dogs becoming separated from there owners and one in particular who traveled across the country and found its way home to its family with no help. It's hard to imagine anyone more faithful. And yet we know that Gods love and loyalty to us who are his children is even greater without measure. David who wrote this Psalm knows first hand how many times he faced overwhelming circumstances and cried out for help and God responded even though sometimes it was Davids poor choices that were the cause of his troubles. He was not perfect but he was always willing to repent and ask for forgiveness. We too can have that same assurance that when we cry out to the Lord he not only hears us but will respond out of a deep love and concern for our well being. And redirect our path so we get back on the strait and narrow way towards him. In the end, it's our choice to go our own way and deal with the circumstances in our own strength or humble ourselves and cry to out to the one true God who has overcome at things and wants what's best for us.
