Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: - John 11:25

Can you imagine what it must have been like to meet Jesus in person back in biblical times. We are talking the son of God who knows all things including our hearts and thoughts before we even speak them. When Martha met him she knew who he was. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. Martha replied to Jesus and said that we shall rise again on the day of resurrection. But he was speaking about Lazurus being raised from the dead. She was not aware at that moment what Jesus was trying to tell her. I wonder how many times we read or hear a scripture and think I know what that means and casually skip over it without asking how does this apply to us at that moment. Scripture is so rich and deep that you never stop learning new things from the same scripture you heard or read a hundred times. It’s all about our mindset and how we allow the holy spirit to use the word of God in us to reveal his truth for us at any given moments. Until we see him face to face we never stop learning new truths about his word and nature and how to apply them to our daily lives. So next time you hear the word of God ask yourself what is God trying to teach me at that moment or preparing you for.
