Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. - Hebrews 4:16

The word time is mentioned 562 times in the Bible so it's an important topic of concern. Of all the things we all need more of in this life, it's time!

Many will strive to extend it at any cost but in the end, each of us has a specific amount of time to use and our expiration date is unknown.

This powerful and humbling truth defines who we are by what we do with this gift we each have been given. But what if we are looking at this from the wrong perspective.

We often choose to allow time to be our slave master. And yet there is a greater option that's overlooked that can become our strength instead of our weakness. That strength is God alone for he is outside of time and is eternal.

The Bible teaches us that we are eternal and that after we physically die our spirit which came from God lives forever. But because of our sin and our choice to respond to it affects where we will spend eternity.

Heaven or Hell is the reality we face but let me be clear that Heaven is what God desires for everyone. But like any good father who loves us he has given us the choice to choose which path to take.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord - Romans 6:23

His great love for us should become our focus and reason for everything we do with the time and gifts bestowed to each of us. This puts everything in its proper place where our wants are less important than our needs.

God is in the business of meeting needs and desires to use us to be his ministers here on earth to assist him in helping each other during our most important times.

Sure he could do everything himself without our help but he loves to get everyone involved so that we can share in the blessing of having community and fellowship. It sounds great but also overwhelming to take on such important responsibilities.

What if I told you it's as simple as being a blessing to someone around you and allow God to direct it from there. This is the confidence we all can have in our time of need because of His goodness and mercy!
